October 15 – Parable of the Talents

IceBreaker Question:
Has a friend or family member ever entrusted a person, place, thing, or task to you? How did it go? if it was a disaster, how did they respond?

From The Homework:
In your own words, summarize what these verses say about:
1. Our jobs as servants
2. How to be a good steward of God’s gifts
3. How to wait well for God’s return
2 Timothy 1:6-14 (Janet)
1 Corinthians 4:1-5 (Gayle)
Jude 1:20-25 (Cathy)

Application:
1. What are the persons, places, things, tasks, or talents that God has placed in your care?
2. What challenges or worries surround your stewardship of these things?
3. How can we encourage each other to be a good steward of these things?

Wrapup:
Did you notice anything else that stood out to you?

Afternoon Activity:
Draw a messy doodle of some things God has given you to invest in. Use the doodle as a reminder to give thanks and pray for guidance to be a good steward of these gifts.

Closing Prayer:
Pray silently as we listen to “You Do Not Walk Alone” by Elaine Hagenberg
