What has been frustrating?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Background and Themes:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Love and unity that transcends racial, ethnic, socio-economic distinctions<\/li><li>Two main parts:<ul><li>Ch 1-3 The Gospel Story and Doctrine<\/li><li>Ch 4-6 Personal Relationships and Ethics<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Part of the &#8220;Prison Epistles&#8221; &#8212; Philemon, Colossians, Ephesians<\/li><li>Paul&#8217;s ministry to the church in Ephesus:<ul><li>First: a brief visit<\/li><li>Second: he spent 2 years there during his third missionary journey<\/li><li><em>The second visit ended with a riot because the craftsmen had lost business when converts no longer were worshiping Artemis<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Mary, the mother of Jesus, is thought to have spent her last years in Ephesus with Saint John.
