{"id":529,"date":"2020-12-09T01:27:39","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T01:27:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.romans15four.com\/?p=529"},"modified":"2020-12-29T18:39:51","modified_gmt":"2020-12-29T18:39:51","slug":"december-9-christmas-fellowship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.romans15four.com\/?p=529","title":{"rendered":"December 9 Christmas Fellowship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O Come All Ye Faithful<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-4-3 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"O Come, All Ye Faithful\" width=\"668\" height=\"501\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3_WJpedRMkY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Christmas Story<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Prophecy<\/em><\/strong><br><strong>Ann<\/strong><br><em>Isaiah 9:2<br><\/em>The people walking in darkness<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;have seen a great light;<br>on those living in the land of deep darkness<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;a light has dawned.<br><em>Isaiah 9:6<br><\/em>For to us a child is born,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;to us a son is given,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and the government&nbsp;will be on his shoulders.<br>And he will be called<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Wonderful Counselor,&nbsp;Mighty God,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Everlasting&nbsp;Father,&nbsp;Prince of Peace.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Angel to Mary<\/em><\/strong><br><strong>Josie<\/strong><br><em>Luke 1:26-28<br><\/em><sup>26&nbsp;<\/sup>In the sixth month of Elizabeth\u2019s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel&nbsp;to Nazareth,&nbsp;a town in Galilee,&nbsp;<sup>27&nbsp;<\/sup>to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph,&nbsp;a descendant of David. The virgin\u2019s name was Mary.&nbsp;<sup>28&nbsp;<\/sup>The angel went to her and said, \u201cGreetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.\u201d<br><strong>Scarlett<\/strong><br><em>Luke 1:29-31<\/em><br><sup>29&nbsp;<\/sup>Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.&nbsp;<sup>30&nbsp;<\/sup>But the angel said to her, \u201cDo not be afraid,&nbsp;Mary; you have found favor with God.&nbsp;<sup>31&nbsp;<\/sup>You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.<em><br><\/em><strong>Pam<br><\/strong><em>Luke 1:32-33<\/em><br><sup>32&nbsp;<\/sup>He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High.&nbsp;The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,&nbsp;<sup>33&nbsp;<\/sup>and he will reign over Jacob\u2019s descendants forever; his kingdom&nbsp;will never end.\u201d<em><br><\/em><strong>Dorothy<br><\/strong><em>Luke 1:34-35<\/em><br><sup>34&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cHow will this be,\u201d Mary asked the angel, \u201csince I am a virgin?\u201d <sup>35&nbsp;<\/sup>The angel answered, \u201cThe Holy Spirit will come on you,&nbsp;and the power of the Most High&nbsp;will overshadow you. So the holy one&nbsp;to be born will be called<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+1%3A34-35&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-24929a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;the Son of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The Birth of Jesus<\/em><\/strong><br><strong>Nancy<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:1-4<\/em><br>In those days Caesar Augustus&nbsp;issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world.&nbsp;<sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>(This was the first census that took place while<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+2%3A1-4&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-24976a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;Quirinius was governor of Syria.)&nbsp;<sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>And everyone went to their own town to register.<br><sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem&nbsp;the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.<em><br><\/em><strong>Alison<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:5-7<\/em><br><sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him&nbsp;and was expecting a child.&nbsp;<sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,&nbsp;<sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.<em><br><\/em><strong>Barbi<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:8-12<\/em><br><sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.&nbsp;<sup>9&nbsp;<\/sup>An angel&nbsp;of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.&nbsp;<sup>10&nbsp;<\/sup>But the angel said to them, \u201cDo not be afraid.&nbsp;I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.&nbsp;<sup>11&nbsp;<\/sup>Today in the town of David a Savior&nbsp;has been born to you; he is the Messiah,&nbsp;the Lord.&nbsp;<sup>12&nbsp;<\/sup>This will be a sign&nbsp;to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.\u201d<em><br><\/em><strong>Robin<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:13-15<\/em><br><sup>13&nbsp;<\/sup>Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,<br><sup>14&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cGlory to God in the highest heaven,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and on earth peace&nbsp;to those on whom his favor rests.\u201d<br><sup>15&nbsp;<\/sup>When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, \u201cLet\u2019s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.\u201d<em><br><\/em><strong>Katie<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:16-20<\/em><br><sup>16&nbsp;<\/sup>So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.&nbsp;<sup>17&nbsp;<\/sup>When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child,&nbsp;<sup>18&nbsp;<\/sup>and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.&nbsp;<sup>19&nbsp;<\/sup>But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart.&nbsp;<sup>20&nbsp;<\/sup>The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God&nbsp;for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Jesus Presented at the Temple<\/em><\/strong><br><strong>Janice<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:25-28<\/em><br><sup>25&nbsp;<\/sup>Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout.&nbsp;He was waiting for the consolation of Israel,&nbsp;and the Holy Spirit was on him.&nbsp;<sup>26&nbsp;<\/sup>It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord\u2019s Messiah.&nbsp;<sup>27&nbsp;<\/sup>Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,&nbsp;<sup>28&nbsp;<\/sup>Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:<em><br><\/em><strong>Aida<\/strong><br><em>Luke 2:29-32<\/em><br><sup>29&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cSovereign Lord, as you have promised,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;you may now dismiss<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+2%3A29-32&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-25003a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;your servant in peace.<br><sup>30&nbsp;<\/sup>For my eyes have seen your salvation,<br><sup>31&nbsp;<\/sup>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:<br><sup>32&nbsp;<\/sup>a light for revelation to the Gentiles,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;and the glory of your people Israel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Wise Men From The East<\/em><\/strong><br><strong>Cathy<\/strong><br><em>Matthew 2:1-5<\/em><br>After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea,&nbsp;during the time of King Herod,&nbsp;Magi<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+2%3A1-5&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-23171a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>&nbsp;from the east came to Jerusalem&nbsp;<sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>and asked, \u201cWhere is the one who has been born king of the Jews?&nbsp;We saw his star&nbsp;when it rose and have come to worship him.\u201d<br><sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.&nbsp;<sup>4&nbsp;<\/sup>When he had called together all the people\u2019s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.&nbsp;<sup>5&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201cIn Bethlehem&nbsp;in Judea,\u201d they replied, \u201cfor this is what the prophet has written:<em><br><\/em><strong>Lisa<\/strong><br><em>Matthew 2:6-8<\/em><br><sup>6&nbsp;<\/sup>\u201c\u2018But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;are by no means least among the rulers of Judah;<br>for out of you will come a ruler<br>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;who will shepherd my people Israel.\u2019<sup>[<a href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+2%3A6-8&amp;version=NIV#fen-NIV-23176a\">a<\/a>]<\/sup>\u201d<br><sup>7&nbsp;<\/sup>Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared.&nbsp;<sup>8&nbsp;<\/sup>He sent them to Bethlehem and said, \u201cGo and search carefully for the child.
