without him nothing was made that has been made.\u00a04\u00a0In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.\u00a05\u00a0The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#eec3cd\" class=\"has-inline-color\">9\u00a0The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.\u00a010\u00a0He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.\u00a011\u00a0He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.\u00a012\u00a0Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God\u2014\u00a013\u00a0children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband\u2019s will, but born of God.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#f3e2b4\" class=\"has-inline-color\">16\u00a0Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.\u00a017\u00a0For the law was given through Moses;
