All of God\u2019s ways are righteous. He is good to all people. God\u2019s blessing is His goodness to us personally. God is compassionate. He satisfies those in need. He offers <strong>hope<\/strong>, refuge, and care to all who come to Him. God\u2019s children experience His goodness even when bad things happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>define:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen<\/li><li>a feeling of trust<\/li><li>grounds for believing that something good may happen:<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>synonyms:<br><\/em><\/strong>aspiration, desire, wish, expectation, ambition, aim, plan, dream, longing, yearning, craving, expectation, anticipation, to look for, to wait for, conviction, assurance, confidence, faith<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#cbe8fa\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><em>Biblical definition:<br><\/em>Hope is a characteristic of genuine faith in God. Such hope is different from the hope that people in general might speak of. It is not a mere wish for something, but a strong confidence that is placed in God. It is the assured belief that God will do what he has promised<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#cef3be\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Until Christ returns, the world will continue to be a place of imperfection and suffering. Christians must therefore persevere and be patient through all the difficulties they meet. Our hope in Christ means that our endurance can be characterized not by grudging tolerance, but by positive enjoyment of all that life offers. Hope gives our lives purpose and stability.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scripture: Hope<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closing Prayer and Music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Lectio Divina<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Notice what words or phrases stand out to you. Repeat that phrase or re-read the scripture to yourself while listening with your heart.<\/li><li>notice what feelings and reflections arise. ask: what might God be telling you through scripture? What truths do we know about God from this scripture? Listen.<\/li><li>Pray back to God anything this scripture has brought to mind &#8212; a prayer of gratitude, praise, a prayer asking for guidance or help or reassurance<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Romans 5:1-5<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:#fcd7d4\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>NIV Therefore, since we have been justified\u00a0through faith,\u00a0we\u00a0have peace\u00a0with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,\u00a0<sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>through whom we have gained access\u00a0by faith into this grace in which we now stand.\u00a0And we\u00a0boast in the hope\u00a0of the glory of God.\u00a0<sup>3\u00a0<\/sup>Not only so, but we\u00a0also glory in our sufferings,\u00a0because we know that suffering produces perseverance;\u00a0<sup>4\u00a0<\/sup>perseverance, character; and character, hope.\u00a0<sup>5\u00a0<\/sup>And hope\u00a0does not put us to shame, because God\u2019s love\u00a0has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit,\u00a0who has been given to us.<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Message <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#cbebde\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><sup>1-2&nbsp;<\/sup>By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us\u2014set us right with him, make us fit for him\u2014we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that\u2019s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand\u2014out in the wide open spaces of God\u2019s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.<br><sup>3-5&nbsp;<\/sup>There\u2019s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we\u2019re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we\u2019re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary\u2014we can\u2019t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#e2ccf7\" class=\"has-inline-color\">CEB Therefore, since we have been made righteous through his faithfulness,&nbsp;we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.&nbsp;<sup>2&nbsp;<\/sup>We have access by faith into this grace in which we stand through him, and we boast in the hope of God\u2019s glory.&nbsp;<sup>3&nbsp;<\/sup>But not only that!
